Big Sky Resort has been awarded the 2015 Best Family
Friendly Resort by the visitors to OnTheSnow.com in the Visitor’s Choice Awards (VCA) adding
to a string of VCAs for 2014 Best Terrain, 2013 Best Overall Resort, and 2009 Best Overall
Resort. Terrain variety, consistent snowfall, and space to ski are a few of the attributes which
continually give Big Sky Resort top rankings.
Other attributes voters liked about the Resort were the additional outdoor activities offered. Kids
10 years old and younger ski free and attend Kids Club après ski free when lodging in Big Sky
Resort managed properties or ski free when taking a snow sports lesson.
“Big Sky Resort is about families spending time together,” explained Sheila D’Amico, Public
Relations Manager at Big Sky Resort. “The layout and flow of the mountain’s terrain allows
family members with different skiing levels to still be able to experience the resort together.”
The Visitor Choice Awards are the most comprehensive reader-generated ski resort awards in
the world. Accolades are presented for both overall and regional winners in four categories:
Best Overall Resort, Best Resort Terrain, Best Family Resort and Best Park & Pipe.
SKI Magazine also awarded Big Sky Resort top 10 rankings in Terrain Variety (2), Terrain
Challenge (6), and Scenery (9) in the 2016 SKI Resort Guide.
Big Sky Resort has also recently has been recognized by MTBparks for Top 5 Best Bike Park,
OpenTable Diner’s Choice Award at Everett’s 8800 and Andiamo Italian Grille,
FindTheBest.com Smart Choice Award, Meeting Focus’ Top 50 Best of the West Award for
meeting facilities, and Trip Advisor’s Excellence Award.
