Happy Thanksgiving Day y'all! Hundreds of skiers and boarders at Big Sky were extra thankful today:
Big Sky
Resort officially opened today for the 2015-2016 ski season making many skiers
and snowboarders thankful to be hitting the slopes again. The Resort opened four
chair lifts, four surface lifts, and over ten features with two jumps in the
Swifty 2.0 terrain park at 9:00 am.
Swift
Current, Ramcharger, Explorer, and Challenger chair lifts provided access to 14
ski runs. As more snowstorms arrive, Big Sky Resort will continue to open as
much terrain as quickly and safely as possible. Discounted early season pricing
and Sky Card holder’s Deeper Discounts are in effect through December 10, 2016.
"We’re
glad to be officially open, as our early November one day opening had everyone
excited to start the winter season, “ said Sheila D’Amico, Public Relations
Manager at Big Sky Resort. “We’ve had some great winter storms which have allowed
our Mountain Operations team to safely open as much terrain as possible.”
Early season
amenities opened today. Big Sky Mountain Sports is offering lessons and the Big
Sky Rental Shop is in full swing. The Mountain Mall retail shops, including
downstairs The Board Room and The Big Sky Sports Repair shop, and majority Village
Center retail shops are open. Restaurants that are open are the newly refreshed
Montana Jack (formally Whiskey Jack’s), M.R. Hummers, Scissorbills, MT
Smokehouse, Lone Peak Café, Mountain Mall Mocha, and Hungry Moose Market &
Deli.
Beyond the
slopes, other activities open at Big Sky Resort are the Adventure and Nature
Zipline Tours, Snowshoe Tours, Bungee Trampoline, Climbing Wall, and Giant
