Vail Ski Resort, Vail, Colorado

Vail in Colorado's Rocky Mountains is one of the largest ski resorts on the planet and just one of many great resorts owned and operated by Vail Resorts.

Vail has over 5,200 acres of skiable terrain and seven back bowls covering 7 miles.  Vail also claims to have the most groomed terrain on the planet.  193 trails, with 18% rated 'beginner', 29% 'intermediate' and 53% rated 'advanced or expert'.  Lot of great skiing and riding for all skill levels at Vail Ski Resort.

The Vail Resort area also has 91 bars and restaurants to choose from.  If you get a shopping jones, you can shop at some of Vail's 187 retail shops.

To get more of a feel for what Vail is like, check it out from the prospective of a US hero and disabled skier in this great video from December 2014.
