Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort, British Columbia, CANADA

Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort, Whitler, British Columbia, CANADA

Whistler Blackcomb is one of our favorite ski resorts and is consistently voted at or near the top of all the Best Ski Resorts in North America lists.  Whistler Blackcomb was the proud host of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
Whistler and Blackcomb are two side-by-side mountains which offer the most skiing terrain than any other mountain resort in North America. Stretching over 8,171 acres of terrain, a mile-high vertical of 1,609m/5,280ft, 200 marked runs, 37 lifts,
16 alpine bowls, and 3 glaciers, there is no question why Whistler Blackcomb stands above the rest. Connecting the two mountains with the Guinness World Record holding PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola and a vibrant pedestrian-only village conveniently placed at the bottom of the slopes it's easy to see why mountain lovers from around the world consistently gather here each and every year.

White Pine Ski Area and Resort, Wyoming, USA

White Pine Ski Area and Resort, Pinedale, Wyoming, USA

  1. White Pine Ski Area and Resort is a ski resort located 10 miles from Pinedale, Wyoming in northern Sublette County. The mountain holds about 25 trails of differing challenge.

74 White Pine Rd, Pinedale, WY 82941

White Pine (originally named Surveyor Park Ski Area) opened to skiers on January 5, 1940.
One of Wyoming’s first cable tows had been installed the previous Fall consisting of a 1/2 inch cable run around 2 drums powered by a gas fired Chevy motor. In 1961 the US Forest Service issued a 20 year lease covering 76 acres on Fortification Mountain.  Stocks were sold to cover the purchase of a lift which was purchased and shipped from France.  The White Pine lift was the longest in Wyoming at the time, starting at 8,500 feet elevation and taking skiers an additional 900 feet to the top of Fortification Mountain.
Currently, White Pine Ski Area has 25 runs for downhill skiing and snowboarding and is adjacent to 35K of looping Nordic ski trails for all skill levels.  Two lifts service groomed downhill runs and the terrain park offers jumps and slides. Fortification Mountain rises to an elevation of 9,500 feet and offers spectacular views of the Continental Divide, Wind River Mountains, the Bridger-Teton National Forest, Fremont Lake, as well as the nearby Wyoming Mountain Range.
Year-round recreation at White Pine includes downhill & Nordic skiing, snowboarding, horseback adventures, downhill mountain biking, cross country mountain biking, scenic chairlift rides, hiking, camping and fishing. Additionally, White Pine hosts special events such as weddings, retirement parties, birthday parties, outdoor retreats and company parties. We have an assortment of facilities for rental including cabin accommodations, a tent village with fresh water bathrooms and showers, fully staffed lodge, meeting rooms, bar, and grill.
