What To Do This Winter: Let's Be Ski Bums for A Month!

After our destination wedding in Hawaii, Stacia and I want do something different.  We decided that we would practice for our future of living on the road by living in a different place for a month.

When deciding where to go live for a full month, together we decided it would be close to a ski resort.  Last ski season was pretty terrible for most of the year in the Pacific Northwest (although we did have great family ski and snowboard trips to both Mt. Bachelor and Whistler-Blackcomb).

We are now going to make a list of potential resorts and/or ski areas where we can live, ski and work for 45 days starting around November 15th.
We are going to be very flexible to see how this comes to fruition, but we're also going to be very active in getting the word out there, and will be contacting different ski resorts and visitor bureaus.

If you have any ideas for us, we'd really appreciate your help.  We're going to need a place to stay, lift passes and enough work for us to be able to pay for them.

Any suggestions you may have for a screaming deal on lift passes, a place to stay or even a ski related business in or close to a resort that is hiring.  We don't really care what kind of work it is - I'd even go out and push some butts (be a ski lift operator) again for the privilege of getting to ski every day for a month.  Stacia said she's long thought about working in a restaurant, but never has.  This might be her chance ...

Besides skiing (and/or snowboarding), we also want to use the time we are at the ski resort to get to know the town, the mountain, the people - and help promote it via our site at Awesome Travel Guides.  We will use our social media marketing skills and experience to help publicize our home away from home - and many of the businesses that help to support it and make it the place that it is.  We plan on making videos for YouTube, taking photos for Pinterest and Instagram, and sharing status updates and cool experiences via social media channels like Google+, Facebook, Twitter and more.
