U.S. and Canadian Armed Forces receive 50 percent off lift tickets and more at Whitefish Mountain Resort

On this Veterans Day and Remembrance Day, in honor of those who have served in the United States and Canadian Armed Forces, Whitefish Mountain Resort wishes to thank those who have served and continue to serve our countries. The Resort reminds skiers and snowboarders from the United States and Canada that they and their spouses and children receive 50 percent off lift tickets, equipment rentals, adult group lessons, and up to 50 percent off lodging as a thank you for their military service. These discounts are valid for active, reserve and retired US and Canadian armed forces men and women and their spouses and dependents.   

“This is just a small token of our appreciation to our troops and veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country,” Whitefish Mountain Resort CEO Dan Graves said. “We hope these families can spend quality time together enjoying the great outdoors and create memories for years to come.”

Discounts include 50 percent off 2015-16 lift tickets, winter equipment rentals and adult ski and snowboard lessons. Additionally they will receive 30 percent off child ski/board & Play lessons as well as 50 percent off lodging at the Hibernation House or 25 percent off other Whitefish Mountain Resort lodging properties.

This discount on lift tickets is good every day of the 2015-16 Winter Season. Whitefish Mountain Resort plans to open Saturday, December 5, 2015 weather dependent. Currently there is over a foot of consolidated snow at the summit. 

A valid US Military ID Card is required to receive discounts and must be presented at the time of purchase, and the ID holder must be present. Lodging reservations can be made by phone 800-858-4152 by asking for the "Armed Forces Special." The military ID will be required for check-in. Lodging is based on availability. Discounts on lodging, rentals and lessons are not available12/18/2015-1/2/2016 or 2/12/2016-2/19-2016.

Accepted identification includes:
US Armed Forces: Non-expired CAC-Active Duty, CAC- Select Reserves, CAC-National Guard, CAC-US Coast Guard, Form DD2, Form 1173, Form 1173-1 or Form 2765.
Canadian Armed Forces: Non-expired NDI 20, NDI 30 or NDI 75, CF Card required for all spouse and dependents in conjunction with appropriate NDI Card.
